From the Organizer -  With one more Stowe Derby under my belt, the feeling of accomplishment is both happy and sad.  A job well done, a friendly bond formed with hundreds of fellow skiers, a feeling of team work and effort with community members and newly formed associations, a sense of pride toward our town, our sponsors, our club, our event.

One of the many good reasons to be a part of the Derby is the interaction one gets with so many interesting people.  There is not much out there that compares to organizing sports event in a small supportive community.

Well done everyone, and thank you skiers for coming back year after year to make this event what it is. I enjoy all of your letters and know that I always try my hardest to make the Derby the best race you will enter, and the most memorable one.  Not only for the race itself and the essence of the Derby, but also for the feeling you bring back home after coming to Stowe.  Now time to move on!

We hope to see you again on Sunday, February 27th, 2011!
