Join us for the Stowe Derby Recon - Friday February 8th

WHEN: Friday, February 8th, 1:30 pm sharp

WHERE: Look Out Chairlift, Stowe Mountain Resort

Stowe, Vermont

Stowe VT - Pre-ski, practice, observe and record the Stowe Derby descent.  Come and feel what it is like to tackle those turns on skinny skis, and hopefully figure out that it is not so bad, AND the most fun you'll ever have on skis!

Ski alone or with the group.  Get the inside scoop on how to get an edge over the other racers, and locate and ascertain strategic features to dominate the thrilling portion of this amazing ski race!

Available to coach and offer tips will be Trina Hosmer, a member of the first U.S Women's Cross-Country Ski Team who trains, races and wins several gold medals in her age group in World's Masters XC Championships. Trina also co-chairs the New England Women's XC Ski Day and runs a weekly training program in Stowe for women teaching them how to ski more efficiently.

All participants please meet at the base of the Look Out Chairlift at Stowe Mountain Resort (top of the stairs above the Mansfield Base Lodge) at 2:30pm sharp.  Your free one-run ticket will be available at that point only.  Cross-Country skis are welcome but participants are asked to stay on the Auto Toll Road.  One run per participant.  Plan your own transportation back to your car if you wish to ski past the parking lot.  The Mountain Road Shuttle is free and runs on a schedule.

This event is possible because of the generosity of Stowe Mountain Resort.

The benefit is for friends of Stowe Adaptive Sports.
